Comment:

The castings can be lumped into different types of "rock families" by looks- sandstone, granite, stratus, block, rubble, etc. Be sure to not mix them up unless you are transitioning intentionally from one type to another. Here in the background is a stratus type casting in a cut, and in the forground is a granite outcropping from a cup shaped mold.
