The layout occupies one side of a spare 12'x13' bedroom. The framework is mostly conventional 1x4 box frame construction, with the lower level at 41 inches and the upper level above the desk at 58 inches from the floor, connected via a 7 level helix in what was the closet. A shadow box type effect is created using an overhead valance and fascia with flush halogen lights.
